Contribution to the Restoration of the Monument in Greve in Chianti

The bronze statue by Romeo Pazzini from Forlì (1858–1942) was created in 1913 in honor of the navigator and commander Giovanni da Verrazzano and placed at the center of Piazza Matteotti in Greve in Chianti.

The monument was restored in 2005 by the restoration school “La Cantoria,” thanks to the contribution of the Verrazzano Historical Studies Center and the Cappellini family.
